Peter Earles - Plumber - Highly recommended

All,Just thought I’d drop a reference on the forum. Last Monday night when we went to put the kids in the tub we discovered our boiler and immersion heater had both packed it in.Found Peter Earles number on the forum and got in touch with him. He helped me diagnose our issue for approximately an hour over the phone - multiple calls and text exchanges. When we’d determined it was in fact dead he agreed a time to visit us the following day. He turned up on time and got our Immersion Heater going and did some more diagnostics.We agreed a time for the following day and again, he turned up on time and repaired our boiler.We were extremely happy with his rates, the quality of his service and his help. Is there a shortage of planters in west London?

I returned to the office today in the lowlands that are Southwark. Back in December there were a few planters but a walk round this lunchtime has unearthed the UK's stockpile of them! They are everywhere except the main roads and the pavements (at the moment). Contrast that with rubbish blowing around everywhere and the place looking a tip (like parts of Ealing I have to add). Priorities anyone?

Lib Dem doubles vote in London South-West

It looks like the Tory lost 25,000 votes to the LDs, if you assume most UKIP votes went to the Tories. Squeezed the Labour vote as well. Clever tactics, but no cigar.

Bifold door repair

Our bifold doors on the conservatory have come off their track. We can't manage to get them back on. does anyone know someone who specialises in bifolds who could sort this out?

e-scooter survey from Hounslow and Ealing

Had a postcard through the letter box inviting me to fill in a survey for the two local authorities, and offering £5 as an incentive. QR code on the postcard to make it easy. Seems a bit odd, and neither authority known for lavishing cash on Chiswick. Also no mention of the initiative on the LA website. Conclusion: it's probably a SCAM so beware folks if you get one.

Devonshire Road Rockin' in the Sunday Sunshine

More and more tables out in the open air both sides of the street from the beginning all the way up to the bric-a-brac shop this lunchtime..  Cafes, pizzas, small restaurants, Vinoteca heaving- even the outside tables of La Trompette ..Happy customers galore..Can't imagine this will ever go back to what it was before.  Business is far too good for that.  Too many winners all round.   And still plenty of room for more..

Traffic is now regularly backing up on the single lane Hogarth Flyover, as traffic backs down Chiswick Lane.  Hogarth Flyover was and is a temporary structure.  Is it at risk?

Fake photos of cyclists LCC

Just read a post on Twitter asking for people to come forward in groups to enable fake photos to be taken. Happy smiling people with children. The stupidity of posting this on Twitter is the best bit. I have a screen shot but can’t get the knack of posting photos on here. Someone’s going to try and defend this I know
