450 adults and children in the borough are to receive Bags of Best Wishes thanks to a Hounslow Community Foodbox scheme.
150 packages are being delivered to homes containing a range of essential food items, teas and coffees plus festive treats for the family, and gifts tailored for adults and children alike.
The now annual initiative is in its third year and is enabled by the help of a number of local organisations including QVC, Hilton London Heathrow Airport Hotel, Brentford FC and Prax Group.
Alexanders Removals handles the deliveries and its staff will be working with Foodbox volunteers to package the Bags of Best Wishes.
Justyna Szwajda from Alexanders says, “At Alexanders, we are incredibly proud to support Hounslow Community Foodbox in spreading Christmas joy throughout our local community. It means so much to us to contribute, not only through financial donations but also by delivering Christmas hampers to over 100 households in the Hounslow area.
“Helping others, especially at Christmas—a time for giving and togetherness—is at the heart of what we believe in. It’s a privilege to bring a little festive cheer and relief to families, and we hope these small acts of kindness can make their holiday season brighter. Together, we can create something truly meaningful for our community.”
This year the FoodBox is asking for donations of £10 to enable it to provide some Christmas cheer to people in need in the borough.

Hounslow Community FoodBox is a volunteer led organisation which supports residents in a time of need with essential food supplies. Whilst emergency food can’t solve poverty, it can provide a lifeline while other issues in people’s lives are being addressed. Its doors are open to everyone who shares its core value of making a positive impact on our community.
