What does the person mean by posting the above "Message removed" on a wide variety of posts here.   Is she really a genuine person or is this a malfunction of the site?   Or a scam?   Just seems so odd.

Shed Removal.. recommendations please

Hello, I am having trouble finding someone to dismantle my garden shed and prepare the ground for a new shed (and ideally assemble that too - if ever arrives..)  Appreciate any recommendations for workmen/handymen to do the job!  Thank you

Dog owners alert

Below is , I hope, is a photo of a weed I call foxtail which is now growing fast all about.Later in the year the seed to the left of the photo will  turn brown and disperse.The top is needle sharp and will easily penetrate a dog's or cats foot. Being barbed it can work it's way up inside the leg and then go septic.The year before last this happened to my dog . The vet tried to flush it out but had to repeat the treatment twice. He said he had treated many dogs recently for this. Poor Bertie suffered as did my wallet.This is an early warning but we have already started to check feet after every walk.

Fencing recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a reliable local fencing firm that doesn't charge a fortune?  The fence in my back garden needs replacing, but the old one will have to be removed in bits through the house as there's no side/rear access.Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Cleaner needed 3-4 hours fortnightly.  Any recommendations?

Our cleaner has returned home after working for us for over 3 years.  Keen to find a recommended replacement.  Now that there's only the 2 of us - both working - we reckon we only really need someone for 3-4 hours every 2 weeks.  We are in Chiswick - close to Acton Lane/South Parade.  Would very much welcome any suggestions/recommendations.

An amalgamation to Lbh of the four cpz (SOTG/RV/CS/FR) into one area

Ive been emailed to post this for someone (Please don't ask who and and questions relating to it as I'm clueless to this and does not directly effect myself) SOTG/RV/CS/FR AREA TRAFFIC MEASURES.There is considerable discussion being expressed locally about the disparity of traffic measures in the area comprising SOTG/RV/CS/FRPROPOSALSOTG is one of four CPZ within an area roughly bounded by Sutton Court Road the A4 the River and the A316. The other three CPZ are CS Chiswick Station (which includes Hartington Road), RV Riverview and FS Fauconberg.Whilst being virtually a self contained area none of the four have a common traffic policy under Lbh's current Traffic Measures.SOTG cannot use Hartington Road northbound.CS cannot use Thames Road to go to or come from Kew Bridge.RV being between cameras can use both Hartington and Thames Road.FS can use neither.None of the four cpz can exit onto the A4 via Harvard Hill as It is closed off to outgoing traffic.NOTEElmwood Road is historically in the GP zone but would be included under this scheme.SOLUTIONSOGA proposes an amalgamation of this area into one benefitting from the same traffic measures and controlled by timed ANPR cameras (red dots) as per attached map.With time controlled cameras linked to ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) at the following points: Kew Bridge / Hartington Road / Sutton Court Railway Bridge / Fauconberg Road / Elmwood Road and Harvard Hill the area becomes one whilst retaining their separate CPZ designations but benefitting from common traffic measures whilst remaining open to visitors deliveries taxis and shoppers but closed to rat running and the 'access only' along Strand on the Green and Thames Road would become redundant.SoGA has put this scheme to Lbh Traffic and subsequently discussed it in greater detail on a Zoom meeting. As the existing traffic measures are new to the area Lbh Traffic require time to assess both their impact locally and the overall effect caused from displaced rat running traffic.COVID has had implications on the timing of both the introduction of the traffic measures and the Thames Road cameras and consequently the subsequent review which will now not be before June/July

Covid Testing in Sainsbury's Car Park

When I popped into Sainsbury earlier this afternoon, there was a team offering Covid testing set up in the car park (near the rear entrance).No appointment needed, just turn up and go. Apparently they were closing at 5 pm (last entry 4.45), but they'll be there again tomorrow (Tuesday).Don't know whether it's avaailable for the rest of the week.That's all I know, I'm afraid - it was pouring down, so I didn't have time to linger.

Acton Lane Bus Gate Displacing Traffic onto Residential Roads?

Councillor Ranjit's blog claims that the bus gate is causing queues at Fromows Corner, and blames C9. http://www.chiswickw4.com/default.asp?section=info&page=councillorsblog211.htmBut the photos are showing queues for the roadworks that reduced the roadway at Fromows Corner to a single lane under traffic-light control. The first vehicle on Heathfield Terrace can be seen turning into the opposing lane in one of the photos, though the traffic lights are not included in the shot.I hope the Councillor was misinformed, though given the roadworks were in his ward he should have been aware of their effects before rushing to publicly and incorrectly blame the traffic queues from roadworks on the bus gate and C9. A correction would be in order.
