A chain of ‘progressive’ nurseries is looking to open in Grove Park on the former site of the Falcons School.

N Family Club has submitted an application (P/2024/4088) to Hounslow Council for a change of use for 2 Burnaby Gardens from Pre-prep School to Children’s Nursery.

The building has been vacant since the school controversially closed at the end of last year. Some locals had been concerned that the intention was to convert the property to residential use.

Plans submitted with the application show that the layout of the building will remain broadly unchanged.

N Family Club was founded in London in 2017 with the stated intention of “rethinking early years education” and now has over 42 nurseries across the south east and in Birmingham.

It offers nursery provision for 51 weeks a year with the Wandsworth branch charging £2,378.41 for full day care five days a week. This includes all meals, snacks, formula for infants, nappies, and trips.

The Alpha Plus group closed the Falcons School in response to falling pupil numbers and legal action by parents failed to save the school.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
