Plain Clothes Officers Launch Night Time Blitz
Targeting theft of motor vehicles and robbery in local parks

Police recently launched a night time operation in Chiswick with a number of plain clothes officers taking part.
The aim was to tackle a rising trend in theft from motor vehicles, theft of motor vehicles and robbery in parks.
Officers were on patrol on Acton Green on the night of 5 April and were available to respond when a report of a car being stolen from The Avenue.
It took them just 30 seconds to get to the scene but unfortunately there was no information on the direction the car was driven and they were unable to trace but the vehicles detail’s were circulated to be tracked by ANPR cameras.
The following night plain clothes officers carried out robbery patrols in local parks conducting a number of stop and searches during two of which drugs were found on a suspect.
Apart from the offence on The Avenue other theft from motor vehicle, theft of motor vehicle and robbery was reported during the two nights these patrols were carried out.
