Prices fall on average during the Spring months
The average price of properties sold in Shepherd's Bush has declined in the three months between April and June.
Figures from the Land Registry show that the average has gone down by 8.5% from £457,503 to £418,773.
This large volume of sales at the lower end of the market has dragged down the overall average, with the individual types of property recording smaller slips of 3.9% for terraced houses and 4.9% for flats.
The June data from Land Registry's flagship House Price Index shows an annual price rise of 0.9% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £161,777.
London remains the best performing area in the country with prices rising by 6.3% to £359,476 over the same period.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during April 2012, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales decreased by 19 per cent to 41,244 compared with 50,721 in April 2011.
The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in April 2012 decreased by 43 per cent to 468 from 825 in April 2011.
The numbers below are subject to revision as is it usual that some properties are added late to the Land Registry's database.
