Construction Worker Seriously Injured on Television Centre Site

The accident in Wood Lane this morning, Monday February 22 involved a construction worker working on the BBC Television Centre site who was seriously injured after being trapped underneath a lorry.
Paramedics were called to the site across the road from White City tube station just before 8.30am.
London's Air Ambulance landed outside the nearby Media City building at the junction with South Africa Road and the London Fire Brigade were also called to the scene, where they worked to free the man.
At 10am the Fire Brigade tweeted: " We freed a pedestrian from under a lorry on Wood Lane, White City. They've been taken to hospital."
The man, believed to be in his thirties, was taken to the major trauma centre at Queen Mary's Hospital suffering from serious injuries.
Television Centre is currently being developed into homes, offices and new TV studios.
A spokesman for developer Stanhope confirmed that the accident took place onsite, saying: " An incident occurred this morning at the Television Centre development site involving a vehicle and a member of the site team.
"Emergency services attended and the casualty has been taken to hospital. The Health and Safety Executive will be undertaking an investigation into the incident."
