Air ambulance attends scene and victim rushed by road to hospital

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being trapped under a lorry in White City this morning (22 February).
The man was freed by London Fire Brigade, who tweeted the news at 10am: " We freed a pedestrian from under a lorry on Wood Lane, White City. They've been taken to hospital."
London's Air Ambulance also attended the scene, with he helicopter landing on the grass near the Media City building on Wood Lane.
An Air Ambulance spokesman says: "Our advanced trauma team was dispatched via aircraft by the London Ambulance Service at 8.21am today to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a truck on Wood Lane.
"Following treatment, the patient was then taken by road, with the London Ambulance Service, to St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington escorted by the London’s Air Ambulance doctor."
Further details about the condition of the person involved are not available at this stage.
