Collects eight medals at the 2007 London Youth Games
The London Youth Games annual Judo competition took place on Saturday 9 June at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. Hundreds of young people aged between 11 and 18 took part in the event representing 24 of the London boroughs.
Ealing Judo Club fought hard to earn their best result for a number of years. The girls' team all placed in the top three in their individual events and the boys managed to collect three medals between them. The participants from Ealing Judo Club are aged between 11 and 14.
The team consisted of Soraya (gold), Lucy Chamberlain (Bronze), Megan Howard (Bronze), Harkirat Sekhon (silver), Phoebe Harris (Bronze), Rohan Bist (Gold), Akhil Bist (Bronze), Ken Kawamoto (Silver) and Conor Corrigan.
Ealing Council's Active Ealing borough team organiser coordinates the borough's involvement in the London Youth Games.
