Recycle more this winter!

Special offer on garden waste sacks for November

Hounslow Council’s Recycling Team is offering residents 5 FREE garden waste sacks with every pack of 5 sacks purchased throughout the whole of November.

These special white biodegradable sacks can be used to recycle grass cuttings, flowers, plants, weeds, small branches, twigs, bark and hedge clippings, leaves and garden prunings, untreated sawdust, hay and straw, and of course all of those fallen autumn leaves.

Simply place them out each week, on the same day as your green recycling box collection, and they will be taken for composting as part of the Green Garden Waste Collection Service. Garden waste must be placed in the Council’s special biodegradable sacks, and placed at the edge of your property by 7am, ensuring it is clearly visible from the road. The weekly collection will continue until 24 November 2006.

From the 27 November 2006, the winter service will commence where a booking MUST be made each week for the collection of garden waste. The booking must be made with ECT Recycling, at least 2 working days before your next usual collection day.

Simply call ECT Recycling to book a collection, or to order you biodegradable garden waste sacks on 020 8813 3191/3192. Alternatively you can get sacks online at www.ectrecycling.co.uk/hounslowgardenwaste or from your local library, or from the Civic Centre, Lampton Road. For general information on recycling call 020 8583 5060 or email recycling@hounslow.gov.uk
