A 14 year old youth has been charged with theft of a handbag following a witnesses' statement to Chiswick Police.

The incident happened last Wednesday 29th June at 10.30am.  A visually impaired 83 year old lady was walking along Heathfield Terrace when the youth approached her from behind.  He snatched her bag and ran away.

A passerby went to the elderly victim's aid and was able to give the Police a clear description.  It was this witness statement that led to the arrest and charging of the youth.
