The Hogarth Health Club in Chiswick is welcoming the players from the Brentford FC women’s team who have been given free access to the gym facilities.

The team are hoping that the arrangement will boost its performance particularly ahead of the fixture against Watford coming up at the GTech stadium on Sunday 13 November at 3pm. To boost interest in the women’s game locally, tickets are being given away for free. You can book your seats online.

Brentford FC Women’s general manager Amy Crook said, “We are thrilled to have The Hogarth Club as a proud partner for the women’s team, and it will aid in their additional training, rest, recovery and overall wellbeing mentally and physically.”

When asked about how she felt about the opportunity to play at the GTech Stadium she said, “I think it’s very important, they will absolutely love the noise; knowing that your fans are there in force and supporting you makes it really enjoyable for them and hopefully a home advantage.

“I’ve been involved in women’s football as a volunteer for 30 years and now paid position for over 2 years so I’m really happy to see the popularity increase and keep growing.”

The association between Brentford FC and The Hogarth Health Club is not a new one. In 2018, when the men’s team were still playing in the second tier of English football, they entered into a partnership in which injured players could use the state-of-the-art facilities for rehabilitation sessions while the squad also used the pool and gym for recovery between matches to help aid and enhance their performances on the pitch.

Brentford FC has recently significantly upgraded its training facilities as part of its ambition to take part in European football. The new high performance centre in Osterley is being named after Robert Rowan, the club’s former technical director, who died of an undiagnosed heart condition a few years ago.
