Brentford FC has launched a limited-edition shirt in collaboration with west London band Hard-Fi to mark the 20th anniversary of the group’s breakthrough album Stars of CCTV. The release celebrates the connection between the Premier League club and the chart-topping band.
The shirt, designed by Brentford’s official kit partner Joma, is available now at the Hive Superstore and online. It features a bold yellow CCTV camera graphic inspired by the album’s iconic artwork, alongside a monochrome Brentford crest and sharp yellow detailing on a sleek black base.
“This collaboration brings together two important parts of west London’s identity — football and music,” said Steve Watts, Brentford’s marketing services director. “Hard-Fi and Brentford are entwined in each other’s history and have been authentic supporters of each other for the last two decades.”
Hard-Fi frontman Richard Archer, a lifelong Bees fan and season ticket holder, grew up in nearby Staines and performed at Brentford’s Farewell Griffin Park event before the club moved to the Gtech Community Stadium. He described the shirt launch as a personal highlight:
“Of all the amazing things that have happened to us since the release of Stars of CCTV, this has to be right up there,” Archer said. “It’s such a buzz seeing the finished shirt and seeing it worn by the players. We feel so proud to work with a club that means so much to us.”
Released in 2005, Stars of CCTV produced hits like Hard to Beat and Living for the Weekend, the latter filmed in Brentford with Griffin Park visible in the background. Hard to Beat later became Brentford’s walkout anthem during their rise to the Premier League, cementing the band’s place in the club’s soundtrack.
The shirt is priced at £55 and available in adult sizes from small to 4XL.
