Prince Harry and Meghan Make Private Visit to Television Centre
Attending Mental Health Innovations volunteers' workshop in Studioworks
Prince Harry and Meghan have made a private visit to Television Centre, the former home of the BBC in Wood Lane.
The couple visited Studioworks, three revamped studios within the centre which are now home to many top ITV shows, to attend a Mental Health Innovations volunteers’ workshop during Anti-Bullying Week.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate also marked Anti-Bullying Week by visiting BBC Broadcasting House in Central London, delivering a speech on the Prevention of Cyber Bullying.
The two couples are the patrons of The Royal Foundation, a philanthropic and charitable vehicle which they say is driven by a desire to make a difference together.
The Royal Foundation was legally established by The Princes in September 2009 and became fully operational in 2011, when The Duchess of Cambridge joined as a Principal Patron. The Duchess of Sussex become the fourth Principal Patron following her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018.
Mental health is one of its four main themes of work, along wildlife and conservation, young people and the armed forces community.
The Royal Foundation has granted £2 million - its largest single grant since it began seven years ago - to establish Mental Health Innovations, a new start-up for digital mental health innovation, which aims to develop new digital tools to help people have conversations about mental health.
Mental Health Innovations, established in partnership with Imperial College, is led by CEO Victoria Hornby and a Board made up of leading technology experts. The funding represents the largest single grant The Foundation has made since it commenced operations in 2011.
