The 75-year-old man stabbed to death at his home in Putney this Friday (24 January) has been named as Mark Talbot.
His 30-year-old son Rory Talbot, of Mossbury Road near Clapham Junction, was charged with his murder this Saturday and was remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court where he was ordered to next appear at the Old Bailey.
The emergency services were called to Mr Talbot’s house on Deodar Road at 3:36am where he was discovered with serious knife wounds. Paramedics tried to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Specialist police officers are supporting the family after what the Met is describing as a ‘tragic incident’. Mr Talbot is understood to have been a qualified architect.
Mark Talbot’s family said, “We are grateful for the support provided by police, our neighbours and others. We ask that our privacy is respected while we come to terms with the tragic loss of a highly respected member of the community."
