Hammersmith Property Sales - April 2011
Prices move back up towards all time highs
The latest information from the Land Registry is showing that Hammersmith property prices appear to have continued to recover during April.
38 properties have been reported as being sold so far in Hammersmith W6 during April at an average price of £632,904. This back up to the levels seen in the final quarter of 2010.
There were four houses sold for over £1,000,000 during the month including two for over £2,000,000 - in Agate Road and Poplar Grove
The April data from Land Registry's House Price Index shows an annual price decrease of 1.3% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £163,083. The monthly change from March to April is an increase of 0.8%. The region with the highest annual price change was London with an increase of 5 per cent. London also experienced the greatest monthly rise with a movement of 3%.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during February 2011, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales decreased by 10 per cent to 38,336 from 42,515 in February 2010. The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million increased by 14 per cent between February 2010 and February 2011, from 399 to 454.

The numbers below are subject to revision as is it usual that some properties are added late to the Land Registry's database.
