A visualisation of the new Devonshire Road venue submitted to the council
December 5, 2025
A new independent café and wine bar called Greenhaus is set to move into the former premises of Chiswick Pets.
Greenhaus describes itself as a “coffee | wine | social” venue, combining daytime café culture with evening wine bar ambience. It describes the venue on its web site as a community space saying, “Our vision is to create a warm, inclusive space — where community, conversation, and carefully curated flavours come together in harmony.
“Whether you're joining us for a leisurely brunch, an evening tasting, or simply a moment of calm, we invite you to feel at home as we aspire to become a beloved local destination.”
It is inviting local artists and educators to 'showcase their incredible talents.'
The company has submitted an advertisement consent application to Hounslow Council for the double fronted unit at 32–34 Devonshire Road. The proposal includes a sensitively designed shopfront with a projecting round sign, fascia lettering, and a removable A-frame sign, all intended to respect the character of the Chiswick High Road Conservation Area.
The site was formerly occupied by Chiswick Pets, a long-standing local business that closed in 2024 after decades of trading. Its closure marked the end of an era for many local families who relied on it for pet supplies and grooming services.

Chiswick Pets ceased trading on Devonshire Road a year ago
The new occupier, Greenhaus, aims to breathe fresh life into the unit and document submitted with the application highlight the intention to replace unsympathetic materials such as uPVC and vinyl graphics with painted timber fascias, acrylic lettering, and a muted green palette.
No licensing application has yet been submitted for the site, but the advertisement application indicates an opening at the beginning of the year is planned.
