On receiving the scroll he said:

"Scottish country dancing has been a very important part of my life for such a long time and has been the source of so many friendships and such great fun. I am honoured to receive this RSCDS scroll recognising my contribution over many years and in many different places."

With a growing membership, Chiswick Scottish Country Dance Club continues its Autumn season of classes and social dancing at St Michael & All Angels Church Hall, Bath Road, London W4 1TT next to Turnham Green Underground Station.

Chiswick Scottish Club Chairman Michael Nolan says:“We are absolutely delighted that Jerry has been honoured in this way. His knowledge of and contribution to Scottish Dancing has been and remains immense, we are very proud of him and are fortunate to have him as our Vice Chairman. On behalf of Chiswick Scottish Country Dance Club we congratulate Jerry.”
