Piccadilly Line Petition Numbers Increase

Online signatures have reached nearly two thousand

The online petition launched last month to stop Piccadilly Line trains at Turnham Green throughout the day has gathered 1,700 signatures.

Local residents will be able to attend the Chiswick Area Forum on Tuesday 24th September at 7:30pm in Chiswick Town Hall, where the issue of Piccadilly line trains stopping at Turnham Green will be discussed.

Tfl launched an official consultation on the issue of the Piccadilly line service at Turnham Green on August 27th which ends on October 7th.

Local campaigners have been lobbying for decades to get a full service at Turnham Green and many believe this is a significant step on the road to achieving their aim.

Local MP Mary Macleod said:“Stopping the Piccadilly line at Turnham Green station throughout the day will improve lives for local residents. Chiswick people realise this and I am pleased that so many have decided to support our campaign by signing the petition."

Local Lib Dem councillor Gary Malcolm has also been working hard to have the Piccadilly Line stop at Turnham Green station and has held meetings with Transport officers at City Hall in the past along with Caroline Pidgeon. http://www.carolinepidgeon.org/node/418 as well as conducting petitions.
