Huge turnout for Chiswick Pier Trust's family day out
What a turn out down at Chiswick Pier last Sunday for Party on the Pier. A fun day was had by all as we were blessed with sunshine.
The seven planned free boat trips, sponsored by Fullers, were booked up well in advance of sailing so the skipper kindly offered to run another which was also packed. A record total of over 800 people enjoyed the trips this year.
Chiswick Canoe Club were kept very busy with their canoe taster sessions and Amanda’s Action Kids had the best turn out ever with lots of little people dancing around and generally having fun to music.
The bbq had queues most of the day with many a compliment about Barn Bacons’ burgers and sausages. Shenanigans’ music got the crowds cutting some interesting shapes and generally helped to create a vibrant yet relaxed mood. There were lots of young faces skilfully face painted and also lots not so skilfully covered in ice cream! They were happy grown ups too with some great purchases from our variety of stalls. All in all an excellent family day out.
