Chiswick Slowly Reopening More for Business
Shops and services need your support as they get back on their feet
In the light of new guidelines issued by the government many businesses in Chiswick are now reviewing their operations.
In some cases this has meant that they can reopen or plan to reopen shortly.
We’ve updated our list of local firms and their current trading status. We will add to this as more details are sent to us.
Please do try and support local shops and small business in the area. Social distancing and safe shopping regulations remain in place but the range of businesses that you can now visit is expanding. Remember to observe social distancing and other safe shopping regulations.
Estates agents are included on the list of enterprises allowed to get back to business and Paul Cooney of Horton & Garton has told us about listing in lockdown.
More local businesses are offering online/delivery services and we will keep updating that list as they inform us of their situation. Please note that the situation is changing all the time so if in doubt check with the business before travelling to them
Restaurants, Cafes and Food
Chiswick High Road now has a much wider range of cafés and restaurants open for takeaway food. Although sit down meals are not possible yet, and probably won’t be at least until July, there is a wide range of food you can buy if you don’t want to cook.
Both RiCE and The Catch reopened for takeaway on Friday 15 May. You can order collections direct on 0208 994 1661 / 0208 747 9358 or alternatively Deliveroo / Uber Eats.
Grove Park Deli – delicatessen are offering a delivery service between 2-3pm Monday to Sunday for meals that are ready to be heated or put directly into the freezer. Staple favourites will be on the menu all week plus plenty of Daily Specials to choose from. As with all of the Deli menus there will be a variety of choices to include all tastes and dietary requirements. Villa di Geggiano remains closed but they say provided the government keeps its promise, they will open on 1 July and are taking reservations. They are also offering gift vouchers which if bought now will help support them and their staff, and ensure the smooth return to the food you've come to delight in.
Crucial Food at Hogarth Health Club, the nutritional healthy cafe/restaurant, is developing a click and collect service as well as offering deliveries. 020 3637 7603
Chiswick's Michelin starred restaurant La Trompette remains closed but their home-grown salads and fresh sourdough, made weekly, are being sent to the Hounslow Community Hub.
