The Mayor of Hounslow braves the rain at the school fair
July 8, 2025
The William Hogarth School in Chiswick had a special guest at its summer fair this Saturday (5 July)
Cllr Amy Croft, the Mayor of Hounslow attended in her full mayoral regalia and was given a tour of the school’s new playground by headteacher Avril Stockley.
The playground was recently installed by the local authority after years of campaigning by teachers and parents, and the Mayr was particularly impressed by the size and scale of the state-of-the-art equipment the children can now benefit from every day.
She was shown round the climbing frames, outdoor learning gazebo and the school’s burgeoning Forest School area, which also recently impressed local MP Andy Slaughter.
The Mayor and her husband also spent time meeting parents and pupils at the fair, enjoying a performance from Stagecoach Performing Arts Chiswick and even sampling burgers from the fair’s barbecue.
