Elderly Woman Injured In Chiswick Fire
First floor of house in Binns Road damaged
A terrace house on Binns Road in Chiswick was damaged by a fire this afternoon.
An elderly woman left the building before the Brigade arrived and was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service suffering from smoke inhalation.
Fire crews confined the fire to the first floor, which was partly damaged.
Three fire engines and around 14 firefighters and officers from Chiswick and Hammersmith fire stations attended the incident.
The Brigade was called at 12.45pm and the fire was under control just over two hours later.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
