Big Emergency Services Response to High Road Incident

Seven emergency vehicles including ambulances and plolice cars were assembled on Chiswick High Road this Thursday afternoon (1 February) after an elderly woman collapsed.
Some local reports suggested that the person had died but London Ambulance Service says that, after being called to the scene at 1.43pm paramedics treated her on the pavement near the Marks and Spencer stall before taking her to hospital as a priority.
An ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a fast response car and a clinical team manager were dispatched to the incident.
The ambulance had some difficulty in departing due to congestion on the High Road. A fire engine was also driving in the direction of Hammersmith using the bike lane.
A nearby shop Mint Velvet was closed for the rest of the afternoon ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’ and the pavement outside the shop was been cordoned off by the police.
