Air ambulance called to scene after collision at Chiswick Lane junction

A female cyclist in her thirties has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a lorry on Chiswick High Road this Tuesday afternoon (11 October).
The collision occurred near the junction of Chiswick Lane near the former premises of Outsider Tart shortly before 12.34pm.
A London Air Ambulance helicopter attended the incident and landed on Homefields Recreation Ground. The woman was taken to a major trauma centre where her injuries were assessed as non-life changing and non-life threatening according to the police.
A bike was seen underneath the wheels of the lorry involved in the collision.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance service said, “We sent a number of resources including an ambulance crew, a team leader, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.
“We treated a woman at the scene before taking her to a London major trauma centre.”

Chiswick was closed after the incident but has since fully reopened. Bus routes 110 190 267 and H91 were diverted via Goldhawk Road, Stamford Brook Road, Bath Road and Turnham Green Terrace.
