More witnesses sought as victim named as Benjamin Dewhurst
The 22-year-old man who was hit by a car on Hammersmith Flyover last Sunday (29 May) has died in hospital.
The victim, who has now been named as Benjamin Dewhurst, died two days later on Tuesday, 31 May despite the efforts of paramedics at the scene and hospital staff in the major trauma unit.
His family has been informed.
The fatal collision occurred shortly before 12.20am and police are now seeking more witnesses.
The car stopped at the scene and the driver was not arrested.
Accident investigation work was undertaken around the A306 Hammersmith Bridge Road and the A219 Talgarth Road.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision or captured it on dash cam.
