Crash on St Albans Avenue Like 'Diamonds Are Forever'

A car crashed into a parked vehicle in Chiswick this Wednesday afternoon (28 June) after somehow finding itself travelling on two wheels.
It is not clear at this stage how the white Volkswagen Polo managed to end up in this position but damage to the front of the car on the right hand side suggests there may have been an earlier collision with another vehicle. No other damaged vehicle was evident at the scene at the junction of St Albans Avenue and Speldhurst Road.
Three fire engines, an ambulance and a police van attended the incident.
Paramedics were seen treating a man at the side of the road who appeared to be shaken but otherwise unharmed.
An emergency service worker at the scene said that nobody was seriously injured and they were treating the driver of the car but it was probably not necessary to take him to hospital.

One passerby said, “I don’t want to make light of it, because anyone in the car will have been shook up, but it looks a bit like someone was attempting to replicate the stunt from Diamonds Are Forever.”
