Serious Assault at Osterley Tube Station


Man stabbed in the neck with a broken bottle

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Osterley in which a teenager was stabbed in the neck.

The incident occurred at around 7.39pm on 19th October at Osterley tube station. A 19 year old male was taken to hospital with stab wounds to the neck. He has since been discharged.

It is believed that the victim was approached by three youths as he left the tube station and assaulted with a broken bottle. The attackers then took the victim's bag from the scene.

It is believed one of the suspects had earlier asked the victim for a cigarette. The victim declined as he does not smoke.

The suspects are described as all being aged around 18. One was a light skinned black male, with short-cropped hair, he was wearing a black jacket and dark jeans. The second was a dark skinned black male, wearing a black T-shirt with emblem, a brown stripey hooded jacket underneath a khaki jacket and pale blue jeans. The third was a dark skinned black male, wearing a blue hooded jacket with a black body warmer over the top and blue jeans.

DI Jeff Minns from Hounslow CID said: "This was a completely unprovoked assault which could have resulted in much more serious injuries. If anyone knows who was responsible for this attack, please contact Hounslow CID on 0208 247 6160/5940 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
