Wimbledon Property Sales - July 2012
House on Kinsella Gardens changes hands for £5,000,000
In July 2012, there were 110 properties sold in the SW19 area, changing hands for an average price of £580,488.
This represents a strong rebound from the previous month and brings the average back to levels seen earlier in the year.
There were eleven properties sold for over a million pounds during the month the most expensive of which was on Kinsella Gardens which sold for £5,000,000.
The July data from Land Registry's flagship House Price Index shows an annual price rise of 0.3% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £162,900.
London remains the best performing area in the country with prices rising by 6.5% to £367,785 over the same period.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during May 2012, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales increased by 2 per cent to 50,083 compared with 48,974 in May 2011.
The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in May 2012 increased by 107 per cent to 562 from 271 in May 2011.
