Hartswood Road firmly established as W12's most desirable street

W12's most expensive home in Hartswood Road

Hartswood Road has firmly established itself as W12's most desirable street with a house on the road setting a new record for the highest price paid in this post code.

£3,700,000 was paid in January 2016 for a six bedroom semi-detached house that was originally marketed for £3,850,000. The same property was bought for £2,877,000 in 2007.

Only five properties in the Shepherd's Bush area have cost their owners more than £3,000,000, all in the leafy residental area west of Askew Road between Ravenscourt and Wendell Parks.

As well as two homes in Hartswood Road, the other properties are in Goldhawk and Rylett Roads and Ashchurch Park Villas  - all of which feature prominently in the top twenty.

The figures show that six of the top twenty most expensive homes in the W12 post code area are in Hartswod Road, with prices rising from £2 million paid for a house at 15 Hartswood Road in July 2012.

However, while prices appeared to be on an upstoppable upward rise in the last two years, there may be signs now that they are levelling off. Property site Rightmove currently lists only one house priced £3million - a five bedroom house in Keith Grove, just off Askew Road.

There is also just one house in the area priced over £2,500,000 - a four bedroom house in Rylett Road with a 61 foot long garden described as a 'Must see house' by agent Finlay Brewer, is for sale for £2,700,000.
