Park Friends hold dog show and AGM on Saturday

The Friends of Wormholt Park are inviting local people and their dogs to come along to their second Walkies in the Park event this Saturday, April 27.

Starting at 11am, The Dogs Trust will be there with a range of exciting agility exercises for dogs, plus free micro-chipping.

The canine competition starts at 12 noon, once again expertly overseen by international judge and breeder David Spencer.

Registration is free on the day and there will be prizes for winners kindly donated by pet boutique and grooming salon purplebone in the following categories:

• Most handsome dog
• Prettiest bitch
• Dog most like its owner
• Best dog trick
• Best veteran
• Overall Best in Show

The Friends of Wormholt Park will have their red gazebo up with refreshments available, plus free face painting for the kids.

The Friends will also be holding their AGM starting at 2pm. So, come and hear the review of their second year, the latest on the park redevelopment and meet the new Committee members.
