View St James' Proposals for M&S Site
Developer plans "high quality residential neighbourhood" off Wood Lane
The St James Group is inviting people in Shepherd's Bush to drop in to a series of exhibitions on the future of the Marks & Spencer warehouse site in White City.
The developer bought the site, behind Wood Lane station and to the north of the Hammersmith and City line viaduct, last summer and says it is now in the early stages of drawing up proposals for a high quality residential neighbourhood, alongside new public open space.
The exhibitions will give local people the chance to have their say on the initial strategy for how the site could look, and visitors will be encouraged to contribute ideas and give feedback during the design process.
Drop in to the White City Community Centre in India Way, White City estate from 1pm to 6pm on Tuesday, May 13 or from 1pm to 8pm on Thursday, May 15.
An exhibition will then run at Block B of the Ugli Campus at 56 Wood Lane from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, May 17,
On Saturday, residents are also invited to join St James and the project architects on a guided local history walk around the area from 12pm to 1pm. The meeting point will be outside the Ugli buildings on Wood Lane.

St James bought the ten acre site, formerly used by M &S for storage and as a "mock shop" for training purposes last summer for around £100 million, with plans to build 4,500 home around a new public park.
