QPR Crowds Cheer Triumphant Tiger Feet 8 Walkers

After their 13 mile walk raises thousands for club's Down's Syndrome team

Tiger Feet 8 Walkers Celebrate at Loftus Road

An intrepid army of 45 QPR supporters celebrated at Loftus Road on Saturday 18 March after they completed Tiger Feet 8, a 13 mile walk from the club's training ground in Harlington in Middlesex.

Tiger Feet is an annual fundraising walk for the QPR Tiger Cubs, the club's team for children and young people with Down's Syndrome.

And after completing the challenge, the walkers were cheered by the crowds as they took to the pitch alongside members of the Tiger Cubs.

Last year, Tiger Feet 7 raised over £14,00 for the team and this year' fundraiser is hoping to beat that total with well over £10,000 already raised and more donations still coming in.

Run in partnership with the Down’s Syndrome Association, the Tiger Cubs project aims to create a multi-tier learning environment that will improve the participants' overall physical, social and emotional health.

The money raised from the walk goes directly to the team to
cover their expenses; assist with future projects; and further extending new opportunities for the project.

The walk was the highlight of a number of community-based activities QPR's Community Day on Saturday.

Trust Business Development Manager, Fiona Hodgson said: "The Tiger Feet walks have gone from strength to strength, year on year.

"We are very proud of the Tiger Cubs project and are very grateful for the opportunities that this fundraiser enables us to deliver.

"We've raised some over £75,000 over the last six years with walks to Crystal Palace, Watford, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Charlton and West Ham – and long may that continue."

You can find out more and add to the total raised on the Tiger Feet 8 fundraising page.
