QPR Supporters Take Part in Tiger Feet 6
Tiger Cubs join in walk to West Ham in aid of Down's Syndrome team
60 Queens Park Rangers supporters have taken part in Tiger Feet 6, walking 14.5 miles from Loftus Road to West Ham United’s Upton Park in aid of QPR Tiger Cubs, QPR's Down’s Syndrome football team.
The Tiger Cubs – who celebrated their sixth birthday last month – played their part, joining at the ArcelorMittal Orbit for the final 3.5 miles from the Olympic Park.
On arrival, the group were greeted by chairman Tony Fernandes, CEO Philip Beard and R's legend Les Ferdinand.
The event, the sixth following previous walks to Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford and Charlton Athletic, has to date raised almost £15,500, with the biggest donation being £2,500 given by the QPR First Team Squad.
Andy Evans, QPR in the Community Trust CEO, says: "The walk shows the community’s passion for the club, which has translated into us raising important funds to provide a platform for young people with Down's syndrome to develop their skills and fulfil their potential.
"Words cannot express how grateful we are to the fans of QPR who walk the Tiger Feet miles and those that sponsor and donate to support the cause."
