The Hoxton would be latest addition to 'hotel district' around W12 town centre
The site of Shepherd's Bush Post Office, at 65 - 69 Shepherd's Bush Green, is set to be redeveloped as a boutique hotel.
The Hoxton hotel company is reportedly working on plans for the site, made vacant by the Post Office's controversional decision to move its local service to an
alternative location within the nearby Westfield shopping centre.
The Hoxton, which has a number of 'individual hotels' at locations including Holborn and Shoreditch in East London as well as Amsterdam and Paris, is said to have been discussing
its proposals with the Hammersmith Society before preparing a planning application.
If The Hoxton's proposals get the green light, it will help to establish a 'hotel district' around Shepherd's Bush Green and town centre.
Set on the west side of the green, it will be close to the successful Dorsett Shepherd's Bush, which was opened three years ago within the Grade II listed building which was once the Shepherd's Bush Pavilion.
The Dorsett itself is expanding, having received permission in April to build an eight storey building containing 74 serviced apartments, plus a restaurant and entertainment space on the adjacent site which was formerly home to the Walkabout pub.

In Wood Lane meanwhile, Soho House is creating a 47 bedroom hotel within The Helios, the main curved building within the former BBC Television Centre.
South of Shepherd's Bush Green, travellers have the choice of the 219 K West Hotel and Spa, set in former BBC offices and recording studios on Richmond Way, or the 128 room Ibis in Rockley Road.
