63 new homes to be built on corner of Goldhawk Road
Notting Hill Housing have had their plans to build a 63 home development on the corner of Hammersmith Grove and Goldhawk Road approved.
Notting Hill Housing says the site, at 87-89 Goldhawk Road and 248 Hammersmith Grove is currently occupied by a tyre centre and workshop with 15 residential units on the upper floors. The buildings on the site are unattractive, poorly maintained and in need of regeneration.
The new plans involve the demolition of the existing buildings, and their replacement with a four to six storey building and a detached single storey building to the rear, to provide 63 new homes and 70sqm of ground floor commercial floorspace.
The plans, produced by Hunters Architects, aim to restore the street frontage on Hammersmith Grove, respecting the height of the neighbouring properties and providing landscaped gardens in the front.
