Free travel for the over-60s
A local roadshow has been organised to encourage residents aged 60 and over to renew their Freedom Passes so that they can continue to travel free on the capital's buses, trains, and tubes, as well as local buses across the UK.
The roadshow will take place on Tuesday, March 9 at the White City Community Centre, Invicta Way ,W12, from 10am to 5pm.
Saturday 20 March is the last day on which people can submit their form to the Post Office and be guaranteed that their new pass will arrive before their current card stops working on the 31 March.
Pass holders can either fill out and download the application form from www.freedompass.org which can then be taken to any London Post Office branch, or pick up a printed version from the local Post Office.
Take the completed form to the Post Office along with documents to prove identity and address as well as a passport sized photograph. For more details visit: www.lbhf.gov.uk/freedompass .
