Man Rescued from Fire in Du Cane Road Flat


Treated at the scene for effects of smoke inhalation

 

A man was rescued by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus from a fire in a flat in Du Cane Road in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He was treated at the scene for the effects of smoke inhalation by the London Ambulance Service.

Part of the first floor flat in the four storey Shepherd's Bush block was damaged by the fire.

Two fire engines from North Kensington fire station and ten firefighters went to the scene.

The Fire Brigade says they were called at 2.39am on June 27 and the fire was under control by 3.30am.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
