Teacher at Hammersmith School Faces Over 30 Sexual Offence Charges

Ben Breakwell accused of engaging in sexual activity with girls as young as thirteen

A 39-year-old man has been charged with a number of sexual offences which took place while he was a teacher at a school in Hammersmith.

Ben Breakwell of Monkgate, York, faces 36 charges in total.

Teacher charged with abuse

The offences took place between 2012 and 2017 and include 32 charges relating to sexual activity with three girls aged 13-16.

Four offences relate to alleged taking or making indecent images of children.

Police have not named the school to protect the identity of the victims.

An investigation into his activities began in 2017 and is being led by specialist officers from the West Area Command Unit.

Breakwell was due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, 9 March.
