Double Stabbing on Saturday Near Shepherd's Bush Tube Station


Two men found with 'non-life threatening' wounds

Two people have been stabbed near Shepherd's Bush tube Station this Saturday (27 April).

Police say they were called at around 7.40pm after receiving reports of two men suffering from stab wounds close to the station, north of Shepherd's Bush Green.

The two men were taken to hospital by ambulance, but their condition is not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

Police say no arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

Following this incident a Section 60 Authority was authorised and put in place from 9pm on Saturday evening till 7am on Sunday morning for the whole borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.

A Section 60 Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 (s.60) gives police the right to search people in a defined area during a specific time period when they believe, with good reason, that: serious violence will take place and it is necessary to use this power to prevent such violence; or that a person is carrying a dangerous object or offensive weapon; or that an incident involving serious violence has taken place and a dangerous instrument or offensive weapon used in the incident is being carried in the locality.

Similar powers have also been recently been implemented in nearby Chiswick and Acton.
