Shot Fired in Attempted Moped Robbery

Group of men reportedly attempt to steal bike from owner on Bloemfontein Road

A shot was fired in an incident on Bloemfontein Road, Shepherd’s Bush this Thursday evening (22 November).

Police attending were told by eye-witnesses that a group of men surrounded the owner of a moped at around 8.40pm and attempted to take it from him. During the altercation one of the men produced a gun and fired a shot.

A spokesperson for the Met said that there were no injuries in relation to the shooting.

No arrests have been made and enquiries continue into the attempted robbery and shooting.
