Drugs Squad Seize 4 Kilos of Cocaine

Haul could have street value of up to £750,000

A large quantity of drugs was seized from an address in Shepherd's Bush during a day of action by Hammersmith's drugs squad.

Four kilos of cocaine and 24 kilos of cutting agent, along with other drug-dealing paraphernalia were recovered in W12 last Wednesday (October 21).

The haul is believed to have a wholesale value of £140,000 with an estimated street value of £500,000 - £750,000 depending on the purity.

A cutting agent is a chemical used to stretch (“cut”) drugs using something less expensive than the drug itself.

The property in Shepherd's Bush was unoccupied at the time of the raid and no arrests were made there. However, two arrests were made elsewhere as part of a related police operation.

Hammersmith & Fulham's Operation Flatland targets organised criminal networks currently operating in
the borough. The operation tackles members of an organisation actively involved in the Importation & Distribution of Class A Drugs and the associated offences of Money Laundering & Fraud.

Detective Sergeant Simon Rogers from Hammersmith & Fulham's Drug Squad said: “This is a fantastic result which ends months of hard work, dedication and commitment by my team. The results speak for themselves and highlight the level of criminality that we as a very small borough resource are tackling.

“I have no doubt that the cocaine was destined for the streets of Hammersmith & Fulham. This is a significant seizure which will have a major impact on the drug dealers operating within the borough.”
