Two people sentenced for murder of Craig Brown

Two people have been sentenced to a total of 26 years imprisonment for the murder of a Shepherd's Bush man in Loftus Road last Christmas Eve.

16-year-old Nathan Harris of Campbell House, White City Estate W12, was sentenced to a minimum of 16 years imprisonment for the murder of Craig Brown.

22-year-old Khalid El-Sheikh of Adie Road, Hammersmith was sentenced to a minimum of 10 years imprisonment for possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Both were found guilty at the Old Bailey on 9 October following a six-week trial.

21-year-old Adil Saed of Baird House, White City Estate and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons, were both found not guilty of murder.

Police were called to Loftus Road on Christmas Eve 2008, following reports of a shooting incident.

Ambulances and an air ambulance attended the scene but 20-year-old Craig Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

The post-mortem gave the cause of death as gunshot wounds.

Brown had just returned from a Christmas shopping trip with his partner and their five-year-old son when he was shot.

He had parked his car in Loftus Road and was unloading goods from the vehicle when he was approached and shot three times.
