Woman suffers 'life changing' injuries after being hit by lorry
A woman is described as being in a 'serious but stable' condition after undergoing 'lengthy' surgery following a collision with a lorry.
She was hit yesterday (26th July) near on Shepherd's Bush Road near the junction with Goldhawk Road.
Eye-witnesses say that the vehicle involved had a crane on the back.
An air ambulance landed on Shepherd's Bush Green to help the emergency services. The incident occurred just after there had been large crowds in the area to greet the Olympic Torch Relay.
Hammersmith and Fulham police have stated on Twitter that her injuries will be 'life-changing'.
