Bushstock Takes Over W12 on Saturday

One day music  festival is back at six local venues

Bushstock, Shepherd's Bush's one day music festival is back for a sixth year, featuring 30 artists at six local venues.

Bushstock offers local music fans the chance to check out some of the most exciting up-and-coming talent alongside more established names.

Set for Saturday 18 June, the line-up includes Bear’s Den, pictured above, Palace, Vant, Rationale, Shura, Meadowlark, The Big Moon, Cape Cub, Sara Hartman and many more.

The festival takes over long-time favourite Uxbridge Road venues St Stephen’s Church, The Defector’s Weld and Bush Hall, alongside newcomers Sindercombe Social in Goldhawk Road and the K West Hotel in Richmond Way.

Bushstock's organisers say music lovers are guaranteed a day of superb music with lots of great food, independent shops and good transport links.

There will also be another secret show on tap after last year’s surprise offering saw a queue snake up Wood Lane. The ‘surprise’ gig saw fans gathered outside the legendary Albertine Wine Bar as they tried to squeeze into the cosy upstairs room to catch impressive sets from The Staves and Nick Mulvey.

The festival is organised by Communion, the pioneering London-based record label and promoter. The Communion story started in 2006 at the Notting Hill Arts Club, and quickly flourished into a vibrant community of artists and fans. 

Founded by Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, Kev Jones of Bear’s Den and producer Ian Grimble, Communion now looks after an impressive roster of artists including Ben Howard, Michael Kiwanuka, Matthew and the Atlas, Daughter, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Half Moon Run, Tennis and more.
