12 year-old "stable" after falling 60 feet in Wells Road
A 12 year-old boy has suffered serious injuries after falling through the glass roof of the bus garage in Wells Road, opposite Shepherd's Bush Market.
Bus drivers heard the sound of glass breaking as the boy fell 60 feet through the roof onto the depot's concrete floor at 5.30pm on April 28.
London's Air Ambulance landed on nearby Shepherd's Bush Green and a doctor from the ambulance accompanied the boy as he was taken by road to St Mary's Hospital suffering from injuries to his head, arm and leg.
The boy, who hasn't been named but was described by witnesses as slim, tall for his age and of Middle Eastern or Asian origin, is said by police to be in a stable condition.
Police say that officers from Hammersmith and Fulham are investigating and carrying out enquiries and a spokesman for London United, the bus company which owns and operates the garage, said they are working closely with the police to assist them with their investigation.
Following the accident, the police helicopter carried out " a large roof check of commercial premises for possible vulnerable youths".
