"Intriguing spy thriller" opens on January 14
The Bush Theatre's first production of 2014 is Ciphers, written by Dawn King, running from January 14 til February 8.
A young woman is found dead. Her sister sets out to find out what happened, and stumbles into a world of secrets and subterfuge that makes her question who Justine really was. How well can you ever know someone who lies for a living?
Ciphers reunites rising star director Blanche McIntyre (widely acclaimed for her recent production of The Seagull for Headlong and Most Promising Newcomer, Critics' Circle Awards 2012) with Dawn King (winner of the Royal National Theatre Foundation Playwright Award 2013) following their collaboration on Dawn’s much admired debut play Foxfinder ("a spell-binding dystopian parable" - Independent)
For Ciphers, the Bush joins forces with Out of Joint, one of the UK's leading national and international touring theatre companies, and Exeter Northcott Theatre where the production premiered prior to a national tour in Autumn 2013.
