Play will now run until December 23 due to popular demand

The Bush Theatre's latest production, The Kitchen Sink has extended its run by a week due to popular demand.

The Kitchen Sink, a funny and tender play about big dreams and small changes, by Bush Associate Playwright Tom Wells, has been receiving five star reviews from critics from the Telegraph, who called it "One of the best new plays I have seen this year", and the Evening Standard who rated it "Outstanding" will now run through till December 23, with daily performances at 7.30pm plus Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.

The Kitchen Sink, which is directed by Tamara Harvey and stars Leah Brotherhead, Lisa Palfrey, Andy Rush, Steffan Rhodri and Ryan Sampson, tells the story of one family in Withernsea, for whom things are not going to plan.

Pieces are falling off Martin’s milk float as quickly as he’s losing customers and something’s up with Kath’s kitchen sink. Billy is pinning his hopes of a place at art college on a revealing portrait of Dolly Parton, whilst Sophie’s dreams of becoming a Jiu-Jitsu teacher might be disappearing down the plug hole.

Amid the dreaming, dramas and dirty dishes, something has to give. But will it be Kath or the kitchen sink?
