Local gourmet Karen Gaudin to host event at Detour Cafe

Local gourmet Karen Gaudin returns to the Askew Businss Network to host a cheese and fruit tasting evening at Detour Café on Wednesday 23 May.

Expect to savour a mix of both classic and unusual pairings, each one designed to leave the taste buds tingling.

Karen, manager of Bayley & Sage in Chiswick, first grew interested in food on her grandparents’ farm in western France, and then at the family restaurant. Her knowledge developed while working at high-end London eateries.

At this event, she will be assisted by food writer and editor Marie-Pierre Moine – who also co-hosted last year’s chocolate tasting.

The seated tasting takes place from 6.30pm -8.30pm on Wednesday 23 May at Detour Café, 135 Askew Road. Tickets are £15, and include a glass of wine to complement the cheese and fruit selection.
