Join an International Women's Day Celebration on 8 March

Local women invited to free event at Askew Road Church

Hammersmith United Charities is inviting local women to join a celebration of International Women's Day on Wednesday 8 March.

Organised with support from the Big Lottery, the celebration will take place at the Askew Road Church in Bassein Park Road, W12 from 2pm till 6pm.

The celebration offer woman a chance to have a go at something new, with workshops on creative writing, sport, horticulture, social enterprise, story telling, children's activities and more. All are free.

But the day is also about the power of women to bring about positive change – something the world perhaps need now more than ever!

The organisers say: "We will be exploring the International Womens Day 2017 theme #beboldforchange, asking you to think about what that means for you, your family and your community and looking at what we might all do together to change Hammersmith for the better.

" So please come along and try something out; sample some food made by local women; have a chat with someone you don’t know; and make 2017 the year every one of us and all of us together are BOLD for CHANGE!"
